Fourth Annual Global Gender Symposium

For the fourth year in a row students in the WVC Women and Gender Studies Program, led by faculty member Leigh Burrill, presented their research at The ‘F-Word’ is Feminism Global Gender Symposium.

The event took place on Tuesday 10 May 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in Fox 120.

Students discussed feminicide in Guatemala,  queers in Iran, human trafficking in the Balkans, punk music and politics in the UK, holistic childbirth in Sweden, and postcolonial Native America. Presentations were followed by Q&A, celebration, and light refreshments.
