5 WVC Students Graduate in Cultural and Global Studies

 

IMG_2970West Valley College’s graduation and transfer ceremony took place today at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Seventy percent of the graduates are women; the youngest graduate is 17; the oldest is 63.

Five students earned AA degrees in Liberal Arts with emphasis on Cultural and Global Studies! The Global Citizenship Committee conferred them with Global Citizenship stoles. Three of the students attended the graduation ceremony.

Kaitlin Drake completed a Liberal Arts Transfer AA in English, and in Women and Gender Studies, with an emphasis in Cultural and Global Studies.

Kaitlin Drake is transferring to the Human Communications Department at CSU Monterey Bay. Her goal is to complete a Bachelor’s degree with double majors: English Subject Matter Preparation and Women’s Studies, as well as a Teaching Credential.

Sarah Klaren completed a Liberal Arts Transfer AA in Anthropology with an emphasis in Cultural and Global Studies.

Inyoung Seo completed a Liberal Arts Transfer AA with an emphasis in Cultural and Global Studies.

The other two students are: Maria Jones and Deanna Kunis who completed Liberal Arts non-transfer AA degrees with an emphasis in Cultural and Global Studies.
